Regarding how the fruits should be cut, you should only take into account that the more surface of the fruit has contact with water, the better the transmission will be.

Besides, the idea of these recipes is not necessarily to go shopping to prepare them, we can also think of them as a way to recycle those ripe fruits or vegetables that we have in the fridge for days.

We leave you some proposals about how to refresh yourself in a simple and healthy way: Orange and Lemon. You only need the following ingredients:

ORANGE AND MINT WATER:

  • 1 orange
  • 5 mint leaves
  • 500 ml of water

LEMON AND GINGER WATER:

  • 1 lemon
  • 5 slices of fresh ginger
  • 500 ml of water

But how do you prepare them? Just follow these simple steps (SPOILER: It takes less than 5 minutes):

  1. Wash the piece of fruit, cut it into pieces or slices, and place them in the bottle.
  2. Add the aromatic herb or spice to give that pleasant point of freshness and flavor. With a wooden spoon, crush the ingredients a little to release the juices and aromas.
  3. Add the mineral or tap water.
  4. Let it macerate in the fridge to get the right concentration of flavor. The longer it is cooling, the more flavor it will have. That’s why it’s a good idea to prepare it at night and it will be perfect for drinking in the morning.
  5. If you like the taste of citrus fruits very much, grate some of the peel of the fruit and incorporate it to macerate as well.
