Why organic?

What is an organic product?
The terms natural and organic are not officially regulated. There are independent organizations that accredit products as natural or organic based on different criteria.

Natural products are those made with ingredients of natural origin. These are those that come from plants, animals, microorganisms or minerals that are present in nature. In addition, the production process must ensure the integrity of these ingredients.

On the other hand, organic products are natural products produced in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Organic cosmetics come from ingredients that went through a production process free of:

Synthetic chemicals (Fertilizers, pesticides, dyes, preservatives…)

GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms)

What is NATRUE CERTIFICATION?

OLAND is certified by NATRUE, one of the most demanding and recognized organizations worldwide. NATRUE is an international non-profit association committed to the promotion and protection of Natural and Organic Cosmetics worldwide. Since its creation in 2007, NATRUE supports all defenders of Natural and Organic Cosmetics and all consumers, companies and brands committed to the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Products with the NATRUE seal can be certified as:

Natural Cosmetics:

With ingredients of natural origin.

Natural Cosmetics with an Organic part:

At least 70% of the natural substances must come from plants grown under controlled organic conditions.

Organic Cosmetics:

At least 95% of the natural substances must come from plants grown under controlled organic conditions.

All OLAND products are certified as organic cosmetics, which means that they contain more than 95% of ingredients that come from organic cultivation.

In addition, at least 75% of the brand’s products must meet the NATRUE Standard to be certified. NATRUE requires a high level of commitment and does not allow only isolated products to be certified, as this would contribute to consumer confusion. This standard establishes a high level of transparency and commitment that helps to fight greenwashing.
